Fall Plant Sale 2024
We are now taking orders for our fall plant sale. Check out the farm store to see all of the plants we have available. Lots of trees, herbs and more. Plant pick up days will begin mid to late October and run until the end of November.
Forestry Work Coming to A Hault
During the winter months we work in the local forestry industry. We have been harvesting mainly dead ash trees for a number of years. It’s rather upsetting to see thousands of ash trees harvested, but it is important we make use of the timbers before they begin to decompose. Through our work we hope to introduce many new species of native trees to our local forests.
Devastation In The Orchard
Over the winter of 2021’/2022’ the snow built up above our tree guards and rabbits unfortunately completely chewed the tops of our apple trees. We have hopes that the trees will send new runners from the base, but this has severely set back our ambitions of having apple trees for sale. Every farmer makes mistakes, we just have to learn from them. Our trees will all get much better protection this year!
